In the broader category of mass timber, CLT (cross laminated timber) is notable because of unique product and process innovation. While much attention in architecture and engineering has been directed to professional practice application of CLT in existing project delivery frameworks, transformative opportunities for design exist in the vertical integration of supply chain (forest-to-frame) and prefabrication (BIM-to-FIM).
