Architectural Designer II

We are seeking an Architectural Designer II, with previous experience, to be involved with all aspects and phases of the design and production of custom modern residential, civic, and commercial design projects. Depending on the candidate, this position may be located in either of our Bainbridge Island or Malibu (Los Angeles) studios.
About YOU: You have three to six years of practical experience and are passionate about doing good work. You may or may not know exactly how to detail a specific system, but you know how to research and ask the right questions and find the right answer. You are capable of managing and motivating your own efforts. You know what a quality set of documents looks like (and can share examples), and you take pride in the preparation and coordination required to realize it. You want to be a part of a small office where we all have a voice and we all can learn from one-another. You are either licensed or on the path to licensure. You already live in the Seattle/ Puget Sound area and want to collaborate here in the office with the rest of us.
About US: We are a small firm, doing residential, civic, and commercial projects in the Puget Sound and Southern California. We believe that the best architects operate as generalists and, as we cautiously grow, we are looking for someone who shares in our interest in all aspects of a project’s realization to create work that inspires us.
Software/ Tools: We are a Mac/ BIM-based office. We use Archicad (although we have found that Revit experience makes for an easy transition) with Enscape and BIM-X. Of course, we also use Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office products. We also use a Makerbot 3D printer and a laser cutter.
