Aedas Seattle is seeking an Interior Designer (5+ Years of Experience) for the interior design of commercial, institutional, and workplace projects.

This role is tailored for an energetic, autonomous designer with a strong conceptual foundation and a solid technical ability. You will take ownership of interior environments from early space planning and narrative development through detailing, material specification, furniture selection, and construction administration, working within a close-knit, highly collaborative team that values an earnest and vibrant studio culture.

 

Responsibilities:

·        Foster a collaborative working relationship across the project team, clients, and consultants

·        Develop strong conceptual design narratives and space plans that align with client goals. Translate project concepts into cohesive interior architectural solutions through diagrams, sketches, and digital visualizations

·        Participate directly in client meetings and workshops, presenting design concepts clearly and managing client feedback

·        Manage working time toward project deadlines and deliverables

·        Ensure clear, consistent communication across all project stakeholders

·        Maintain quality control and ensure project documentation meets firm standards

·        Support marketing and business development efforts, including proposal development and client presentations

 

Qualifications:

·        5+ years of professional interior design or interior architecture experience, with a proven portfolio focused on commercial workplace, corporate, or institutional environments

·        Professional degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture (CIDA-accredited preferred). NCIDQ certification, LEED AP, or WELL accreditation are highly desirable

·        Solid understanding of building codes, ADA accessibility guidelines, and sustainable interior standards

·        Ability to build strong relationships and effectively contribute to project teams

·        Strong organizational skills and thorough understanding of design and construction processes

·        Advanced knowledge of materials and furniture, with deep connections to the design trade community

·        Ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently

·        Proficiency in AutoDesk software, particularly Revit, required

·        Fluency in English, spoken and written

·        Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Aedas Seattle does not offer visa sponsorship for this position.

 

Compensation:

This is a full-time position with a base salary range of $80,000 – $105,000. Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.
