Website Northwest Studio

Northwest Studio is a Seattle based architecture and urban design practice.  Since 2016, the studio has developed a distinctive approach that examines the fundamental conditions, and conventions, of every project in order to ask more relevant questions to create more resonant work.  The studio’s creative work ranges from buildings and interiors to urban environments across North America.

We are looking for talented people who love to practice, and to build.

Project Architect
Northwest Studio is seeking an experienced Project Architect to assist the studio in developing and executing conceptually and technically rigorous design solutions.  Candidates will demonstrate strong design and technical skills, and enthusiasm about working collaboratively to actively shape our growing and diverse body of work.

We are a small and focused studio.  As a Project Architect, your role in the practice may include more than one active project, and your ability to cross-pollinate relevant design and technical strategies across a range of project types will be essential to successful work.

Contribution to our growing body of work- and disciplinary focus, necessitates a desire to engage in a wide range of activities from strategic thinking to the execution of projects through Contract Administration.  In this role, you will communicate with owner teams and project consultants while working directly with the studio’s partners to design, document, and oversee project execution.

You should hold a professional degree in Architecture and have a minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience. You should demonstrate an excellent ability to communicate graphically and through your writing.  And at a minimum, you should be proficient in Revit, Rhino, and Adobe Suite; a working knowledge of AutoCAD is advantageous.  We prefer that you are licensed, but this is not required if you are actively pursuing licensure.

Northwest Studio offers health insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, discretionary bonuses based on firm profitability and individual performance, reimbursement for a regional transit pass, and reimbursement for ARE exams successfully completed while employed and following licensure with our studio.  Paid time off includes ten holidays, ten vacation days, and our studio is closed for approximately one week at the end of each calendar year

Northwest Studio is committed to equity and diversity in the workplace.  If you are willing to offer your professional and personal experiences to help shape the studio’s work, and you see yourself as talented and highly motivated, please send a cover letter, a resume, and work samples to studio@northweststudio.com.
