POST-PONED: Adaptation + Resilience | Capitol Hill EcoDistrict : Walking Tour

The Capitol Hill EcoDistrict is a community-initiated & led effort in pursuit of sustainability and resilience in this home to 30,000 residents in the densest neighborhood in the Pacific Northwest. Founded in 2011, efforts focused on energy demand, supply, and distribution. Using the EcoDistricts certification Protocol, the group developed a comprehensive approach to the neighborhood, one that focused on the imperatives of equity, resilience, and climate protection. Partners in the effort included community stakeholders, residents, small businesses, community organizations, City agencies, and major institutions. Read more
