This in-person session at the National Nordic Museum is designed to help architects proactively identify and resolve code-related risks early in the design process, improving project outcomes and reducing costly revisions. This course explores the top code issues encounter during the design, permitting, construction, and inspection process.

AIA Seattle’s Building a Mission-Driven Business is an intensive workshop program focused on skill building for the business of architecture, no matter the firm size.

Designed for new and emerging leaders, or current leaders looking to grow their skillset, the workshop fosters cross-disciplinary collaboration and timely conversations about the profession, the business of architecture, and the future of practice. The 15th annual Seattle Design Festival will be August 16 – 21, and kicks off at the Block Party August 16-17, a free, 2-day, outdoor street festival featuring hands-on, large-scale design installations, pop-up experiences and presentations connecting the public to the power of design in Lake Union Park; for all ages and abilities.
