Committee Meeting: Mass Timber
Join AIA Seattle’s Mass Timber committee for its monthly meeting, taking place every second Tuesday at 4pm. AIA Seattle members, allied members, and sponsors are encouraged to join, as well as professionals in the design community.
September meeting will feature three small-scale CLT fabricators who are building their capabilities in the West Coast markets:
- Composite Recycling Technology Center – using thermally modified hemlock from the Olympic Peninsula to make CLT
- Mad River Mass Timber – harvesting timber from Humbolt County, California to make DLT.
- Fabric Workshop – planning prefabricated housing solutions of CLT and GLT sourced from California forests.
