A&R: Conversations Toward Resilience - Analysis
AIA Seattle Adaptation and Resilience Committee is hosting a series of four panel discussions during 2021 to highlight current regional resilience efforts in architecture & planning through four lenses – Assessment, Analysis, Implementation and Engagement.
This second session in the series on Resilience and Adaptation aims to contextualize regional resilience with current climate data. We’ll build an understanding of the latest regional climate analysis happening on an academic level with Crystal Raymond from UW’s Climate Impacts Group, and hear about the latest studies on resilience planning process and metrics from Scott Miles, the Director of UW’s Disaster Science as Design Lab. The group will have a discussion about how the latest climate data and process outcomes apply to built environment projects in the region. Presentations will leave time for attendee Q&A with a focus on improving awareness and participation by the design & construction community in targeting resilience in our region.
