Member Advancement Committee

The Member Advancement Committee ensures the future success and growth of AIA Seattle by nominating outstanding board members to fill open seats on our very active board.

The Member Advancement Committee meets annually to solicit and review nominations from the membership, and to submit a slate of board nominees for the AIA Seattle Board to review and approve.

The committee is chaired by the AIA Seattle Past President, who appoints the members of the committee. The Member Advancement Committee serves AIA Seattle’s Organization vision.

AIA Seattle seeks nominations for the Board of Directors, with terms beginning in September each year. We encourage representation from a broad range of architects and related professionals with a passionate interest in our five priority areas: Design, Sustainability, Advocacy, Engagement, and Member Service. We strongly encourage the nomination of women, people of color, people with disabilities, and veterans.

If you or someone you know would make a great board member, email Melissa K. Neher with their name, contact details, a bio or resume, and a brief statement about their professional background and interests.
