AIA Seattle offers 70+ programming opportunities to our members and the broader community each year through educational offerings, networking events, and design awards. Like all our work, programs are driven by our members, and guided by our Mission, Vision, & Values, Imperatives, and the Strategic Plan.
Program development is supported through a collaborative structure that brings together member leadership and staff expertise. Steering committees, such as the Professional Practice Steering Committee, help provide direction, working to align programs with the evolving needs of the profession, integrate learning opportunities across priority topic areas, and foster meaningful connections that advance the practice of architecture.
Members are invited to participate and inform program development through open calls, targeted outreach, and/or direct involvement with a planning group. Whether programs are developed by a member committee or planning task force in collaboration with staff, these groups research needs, shape program goals, and develop content informed by member surveys and feedback to ensure programs remain relevant and responsive.
