JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking an Associate Architect / Architectural Staff Level I (Non-Licensed) designer to join our team, full-time in our Seattle office. This architectural position will handle multiple projects simultaneously and work closely with our other designers. Professionalism with clients, consultants, vendors, and co-workers is essential. Applicants should strive to focus on providing design solutions, while also working towards sustaining a fun and collaborative studio environment.

Candidates for this position will primarily be working in Revit, SketchUp, and AutoCAD. Be prepared to sit-in on or actively participate in virtual or in-person meetings with clients or project partners. Designers will need to be able to actively coordinate with consultants or municipal officials to complete project tasks. Occasionally, designers will need to travel to jobsites to meet with GCs and review progress. Candidates may also assist in maintaining SWW social media accounts and marketing campaigns if interested.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Must have 3 to 5 years of experience in architectural design, preferably with an architecture or building service company working on: Multifamily, Commercial, and Residential design projects
• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or related field from an accredited program or institution
• Proficient abilities should include: SketchUp, Auto-Cad, Revit, BlueBeam, Adobe Suite
• *AutoCAD: 2 years (Required)
• *Revit: 2 years (Required)
• *SketchUp: 2 years (Required)
• Must have the proven ability to produce Construction Drawings from start to finish and working knowledge of building codes and accessibility guidelines
• Must have the ability to make jobsite visits to review construction progress
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and have a valid driver’s license
• Must have the ability to work full-time at our Seattle office location

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• *Single Family Housing Design: 3 years (Preferred)
• *Multi-Family Housing Design: 3 years (Preferred)
• *Producing Construction Documents /Drawings [CD Set]: 3 years (Preferred)
• Strong design skills
• A working relationship with other architects, contractors, consultants, or other construction/built-environment resources and networks in the WA State area that may be beneficial to projects
• Strong organizational skills, capable of working on multiple projects at once for all phases of design through project completion

COMPENSATION
The starting salary range for this individual position at SWW is: $65,000 – $75,000, in addition, employees may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the provided range is dependent upon the individual’s qualifications, experience, proven skills and technical knowledge, and applicable employment laws.
