ScharrerAD is seeking to add a new member to our small, growing, but dynamic team. Our work is centered around public projects, large and small, with an emphasis on transit infrastructure within our ever-growing Seattle region.
We are currently looking for a senior project manager with a minimum of 15 years of firm experience. We know it’s a competitive job market out there, and the desire for new talent is in high demand. As a small firm, you’ll have the opportunity to take part in all aspects of the design process and firm initiatives, including space planning, conceptual design, design documentation, document production, presentation, and marketing. The following skills or qualifications are required:
· Professional degree in Architecture.
· Licensed, preferably in Washington.
· Knowledge of LEED, or sustainable design preferred.
· Ability to manage multiple projects of varying sizes.
· Proficient with Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office. A general comfort with technology and learning new programs is desired.
· Strong communication and organizational skills.
· Ability to work with different agency standards. Sound Transit experience a plus.
· Ability to travel to project sites and follow general site safety protocols.
· Desire to learn new things and maintain a positive outlook.
In this role, you will:
· Coordinate all project efforts to ensure effective execution, prepare strategic plans, and serve as primary client liaison.
· Be responsible for coordination of all project efforts, administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
· Estimate and manage scope of work and budget.
· Mentor less experienced project managers.
· Support office organizational systems including staffing and marketing.
· Support marketing efforts as required.
· Manage project teams from schematic design through construction administration and support.
· Edit and produce specifications.
· Coordinate with public agencies and AHJ’s to facilitate project reviews and stakeholder engagement.
ScharrerAD is currently working with a hybrid schedule, 2-3-4 days a week in-office, with an office in lively Pioneer Square. The firm offers competitive salaries commensurate with experience, medical benefits, flexible hours, paid time off and holidays. The firm offers a Simple IRA after two years of continuous employment. Compensation range for this position is $134,000 to $143,000, depending on level of experience. All applicants must live and work in the Seattle metro area and be legally authorized to work in the United States.
