KJ invites you to join our team as a Project Engineer.  Our PEs are problem solvers!  The PE is often the technical liaison between the client, project manager, architect, subcontractors and KJ crews to ensure a construction project proceeds safely, accurately and smoothly.  Project engineers help tradespeople interpret the job’s design intent, ensure the job is constructed according to the project plans, and assist project controls, including budgeting, scheduling, and planning.  This role will be required to work in the Seattle office and at jobsite locations (in all weather conditions).

We are seeking a creative, forward-thinking collaborator who is organized and self-directed.  Candidates should have excellent verbal and written communication skills.  They will be comfortable interacting with homeowners and working in a team environment.  Qualified candidates will have relevant technical skills and a minimum of 5 years’ experience.  Candidates must have a complete understanding of residential construction procedures including general shell, interior and exterior finishes, and the ability to thoroughly understand civic, structural, architectural, landscape, mechanical and electrical drawings.
