Job Description
Project Managers provide comprehensive leadership and management oversight on multiple smaller to medium and large-scale sports and recreation projects, including executing projects from Predesign through Project Closeout, consultant coordination, client, agency, and technical reviews. They will work directly with the Principal in Charge on all aspects of the project, including business development, contract negotiations, and client relations. They also take primary responsibility for management of the project’s budget, schedule, and work plan.
Responsibilities
- Consult and coordinate with clients
- Develop and review building plans in collaboration with design team
- Develop and oversee schedules and timelines
- Manage relationships with consultants, contractors, and vendors
- Manage site planning and compliance
- Provide leadership and mentorship to staff and internal project team
Qualifications
- Experience on sports and recreation projects, such as community, college/university, and/or private recreation centers, fieldhouses, aquatic facilities, and indoor and outdoor spectator sports venues
- A bachelor’s degree in Architecture is required (master’s degree preferred)
- Minimum eight years of professional experience
- Licensed to practice architecture in a minimum of one U.S. state
- Revit preferred. Familiarity with AutoCAD and SketchUp
- Ability to work creatively in a collaborative environment during all phases of design
