Community By Design: Main Streets in a Changing America
Community by Design: Main Streets in a Changing America showcases the success stories of the Main Street America program and other revitalization models that positively impacted communities across the country. The Main Street America program empowers community members to be changemakers, to leverage the power of place to develop desirable cities and towns emblematic of our uniquely American identity. While the Main Street Program provides a sound and effective tool for making sustainable and long-lasting change, other approaches have also successfully strengthened social connections and long-term viability. This exhibition presents several unique case studies from local to national in order to inspire visitors to take pride in their home places and become engaged participants in the long-term vitality of their communities.
