Drew Shawver Architecture and Design

Drew Shawver Architecture and Design is a small Seattle based Architecture firm founded in 2022, with a focus on regionally specific modern residential architecture within the Pacific Northwest. DSA+D was founded on the belief that architecture should be simple and beautiful, and serve the practical and poetic needs of its occupants. Each project is completed in close collaboration with clients, builders, and craftspeople, with a strong emphasis on creating meaningful places unique to clients and their sites.

Drew brings fifteen years of professional experience on highly detailed, site-specific, regionally modern architecture and design. He has contributed to numerous internationally published and award-winning residential works – past projects have received National AIA Residential and Small Project Awards, Honor and Merit Awards from the AIA Northwest & Pacific Region, an AIA Seattle Honor Award, and the Chicago Athenaeum American Architecture Award. The Little House project, completed while an architect at MW Works Architecture in 2015, was referred to by Juhanni Palasmaa in his AIA juror comments as “the Walden Hut for the new millennium.” He has worked at some of North America’s most respected and sought-after residential architecture firms, including MW Works Architecture and Design, Studio DIAA, and Olson Kundig Architects in Seattle; and Shim-Sutliffe Architects in Toronto.
