Mass Timber Committee: Bush Middle School Construction Tour
Join AIA Seattle’s Mass Timber Committee, Mithun, DCI Engineers, and Venture Construction for a guided tour of Bush Middle School, a new three-story building in Seattle currently under construction.
The project’s mass timber structural system was selected to support goals related to indoor air quality, biophilic design, building performance, embodied carbon reduction, and student and faculty wellness. The tour will provide an opportunity to observe the implementation of these design strategies in the built environment and learn how collaboration across disciplines supported sustainable design, code adherence, and project performance.
