AHC Mission and Commitment to Equity

Since 1981, the Architecture for Health Committee has remained steadfast in its mission to improve the quality of planning, operation, design, and construction of healthcare facilities by enhancing the ability of architects to provide their services in a more intelligent, thoughtful, efficient, and responsible manner. As the complexity of our project type continues to grow, our committee has evolved to include the voices of other designers, contractors, and healthcare professionals in the Pacific Northwest.

AHC has long featured the work of architectural professionals and practices of different scales and locations throughout Washington and Oregon. We believe that there is much to learn from each other. We are dedicated to fostering foster diversity, equity, and inclusion in our programming. It is only through diverse perspectives in our content and within our makeup that we move health and wellness forward holistically. AHC is committed to continuing to reach out to diverse groups and contacting diversity committees/panels from regional firms and educational organizations. We believe that equity is nurtured in design solutions as well as the policies, missions, and visions of the clients we serve.
