Committee Meeting: Diversity Roundtable (In-person at MG2)
Join the AIA Seattle Diversity Roundtable for our December committee meeting featuring special guests Alexander Ayala and Jennifer Barnes, two members of this year’s AIA Seattle Honor Awards leadership. They will share insights from their roles in shaping one of the region’s most respected design recognitions, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the jury process, award criteria, and highlights from this year’s submissions.
This session is an opportunity to learn how equity, community impact, and diverse design perspectives are reflected in the Honor Awards program. Whether you’re a designer, student, or advocate for inclusive practice, this conversation will deepen your understanding of how design excellence and EDI values show up in the work being celebrated across our profession. All are welcome—come ready to listen, engage, and be inspired.
Monthly Meetings
The Diversity Roundtable typically meets the first Tuesday of every month at 5:30pm either in-person and/or via Zoom. AIA Seattle members, allied members and sponsors are encouraged to join as well as other professionals in the design community.
