WID: Tour - Solis Multifamily Passive House

A guided tour of the Solis Multifamily passive house. As a first of its kind building in Seattle, SOLIS aims to use 80% less energy than a typical multifamily building for heating and cooling. The residential portion of the building is pursuing the rigorous PHIUS+ passive building energy certification standard by the Passive House Institute US.

Construction tour – HARD HATS, vests, and closed toed shoes req’d. Meet at the corner of 13th and Pike.

Weber Thompson
Emily has a keen interest in sustainable design and has been a long standing member of Weber Thompson’s Sustainabiliteam, a group that spearheads the firm’s environmental methodologies and research of sustainable and energy-efficient design options. In 2017, Emily underwent rigorous training to become a Certified Passive House Consultant (CPHC), which honed her expertise in energy-efficient detailing and high-performing envelope design.

Weber Thompson
A creative soul with a passion for detail-oriented projects, Noelle joined Weber Thompson’s mid-rise studio in 2013. Throughout her career Noelle has focused her technical skills on both new and renovated projects. These include a renovation and addition for a supportive setting for survivors of domestic violence, medical/healthcare tenant improvement projects, and multiple residential buildings ranging from affordable housing to condominiums. Together these have allowed Noelle to develop her understanding of the mechanics of how a building goes together.
