Urban Design Forum | Share the City
AIA Seattle's Urban Design Forum and VIA Architecture host a discussion about Seattle's fast growing and ever-changing city. Presentations by Jeff Hammerquist and Dan Bertolet and a hands-on activity ask participants to think creatively about where the city can best accommodate growth.
Seattle is currently experiencing unprecedented growth in population with over 120,000 new residents expected by 2035. Given the ongoing discussion of housing issues, residential zoning, and transportation – VIA Architecture has developed a game using LEGO® bricks that asks participants to think creatively about where in the city can best accommodate growth. With a specialization in architecture, planning, and design within an urban context, VIA’s hope is to generate ideas and facilitate the discussion of creating the best city possible.
Hear from Urban Planners Jeff Hammerquist and Dan Bertolet who bring unique views about innovative solutions to crowding and urban density.
Space is limited, please register by Friday, November 6.
