SPARC: Methow Valley Architecture Tour
Join the Small Practice and Residential Committee (SPARC) for a tour of projects in the Methow Valley, WA
The Methow Valley Architecture Tour celebrates the unique aspects of design and construction in this area of Washington; particularly regarding the climate, culture, and natural beauty of the area. Learning objectives will emphasize climate resilience, human health and comfort, and biophilic design.
The tour will feature 6 projects throughout Twisp, Mazama and Winthrop in north central Washington. An exact itinerary will be provided to attendees closer to the date. Attendees should be prepared to remove their shoes if asked. One project is still under construction, so please dress accordingly – no open-toed shoes.
Lunch will not be provided during the tour. We will be stopping at the Mazama Store, so attendees will have an opportunity to buy their own lunch at that time. A happy hour sponsored by Chris Rogers of Windermere will follow the tour – thank you so much, Chris!
The tour will be all day Saturday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (not including the networking dinner). Attendees are encouraged to stay over in the area on Friday and Saturday. Accommodations in the Methow Valley are filling up fast for this weekend, so book your lodging ASAP! Tour organizers will be available to assist attendees in identifying accommodation options.
