SPARC: Methow Valley Architecture Tour
Join the Small Practice and Residential Committee (SPARC) for a tour of projects in the Methow Valley, WA
The Methow Valley Architecture Tour celebrates the unique aspects of design and construction in this area of Washington; particularly regarding the climate, culture, and natural beauty of the area. Learning objectives will emphasize climate resilience, human health and comfort, and biophilic design.
The tour will feature 6 projects from Winthrop to Mazama concluding with a networking dinner after the tour. An exact itinerary will be provided to attendees closer to the date. Attendees should be prepared to remove their shoes if asked. One project is still under construction, so please dress accordingly – no open-toed shoes.
The tour will be all day Saturday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (not including dinner). Attendees are encouraged to stay over in the area on Friday and Saturday. Accommodations in the Methow Valley fill up fast for this weekend, so book your lodging ASAP! Tour organizers will be available to assist attendees in identifying accommodation options.
Tour festivities will begin with a happy hour Friday evening before the tour. Join us a day early to see a bonus project and connect with other attendees! Drinks and snacks will be provided for this happy hour. Lunch and dinner the day of the tour will be at attendee’s individual expense.

This tour is intended for AEC professionals and is limited to registered attendees only. To respect the professional nature of this event and the capacity of our site hosts, please refrain from bringing additional guests. There are a variety of activities in the area for partners and children to enjoy during the day. They are also welcome to join us for Friday happy hour + Saturday dinner!
