UDF + COTE: Downtown Seattle Visioning Charrette
Share your vision for the future of downtown Seattle!
What kind of Seattle do you want to live in? Is it sustainable? Equitable? Economically vibrant? Safe? Family- and child-friendly?
Join the Urban Design Forum and the Committee on the Environment for a design charrette focused on defining new visions for the future of downtown Seattle. This event is the first in a three-part series aimed at articulating new visions for downtown Seattle. Cities face unprecedented challenges, such as climate change, the lack of affordable housing, and the hegemony of the automobile. These are largely problems of design, and we believe real solutions are possible. If you share that belief, then join us for this design charrette and help us imagine a vibrant, sustainable downtown! All are welcome – Architects, Landscape Architects, Planners, Policymakers, etc.

The documents in the charrette dossier provide summary information on city plans, policies, and initiatives, sustainability goals and reports, and independent initiatives. All pertain to potential charrette content and are provided as background for charrette participants.
