SPARC Design Forum: Discussion on How the Current Economy Impacts Design & Future of the Practice

Is it possible to have good design within budget? We will focus on “the value proposition.” What do we think is valuable about design and how does that align with the market? When current larger economic and cultural forces are changing, that equation is important in different social aspects and how should we respond in our design field? How will the practice of the future be similar, and how will it be different? How can we apply more design that is mostly enjoyed by high-end residential projects to middle class house projects and take back control of the design in that market from the hands of General contractors?
