COHO: Social Housing in Seattle - A Look Into Initiative I-135

Join the Committee on Homelessness in partnership with Real Change and House Our Neighbors! for a panel discussion regarding the Seattle Initiative Measure I-135. We will discuss the concept of social housing and how it can be applied to Seattle’s housing needs.

PANELISTS

Paul Williams is an economist and public policy expert with a focus on developing public sector enterprises, and social housing developers in particular. He is currently a fellow at the Jain Family Institute in New York. He previously served in the policy division of the Chicago Department of Housing. Before that, he worked on tax policy for the Economic Opportunity Institute in Seattle.

Suresh Chanmugam, Suresh moved to Seattle in 1999 to work as a software engineer in the tech industry. When he’s not writing code or parenting three children with his partner, he volunteers with Tech 4 Housing (https://Tech4Housing.org) to help ensure that the tech boom benefits everyone.

This live, in-person program is presented by AIA Seattle’s Committee on Homelessness.
