CAP Collaboration Series: Sustainability Innovations with Wood Harbinger

Join our Corporate Allied Partner Wood Harbinger for an hour long Continuing Education class on Sustainability Innovations.

Course Description

Wood Harbinger is highlighting the issue of discussing sustainable ideas early in the design process. The goal is to meet the vision of the architect and the long-term goals of the owner. When sustainable ideas are presented early in the process, evaluated with the owner and the design team, and conscious and precise decisions are made, we can achieve a higher level of success and reap the long-term benefits of efficiency and performance.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify and describe how a combination of “old” and “new” technologies were applied to an existing, occupied facility.
  • Recognize that sustainability is highly successful when separate, energy-efficient systems are integrated and when each system is vetted by the entire design team. Define the Poly-Ash category of exterior trim
  • Apply a sustainability matrix and an Energy Conservation Measures Toolkit early in the project to compare system options.
  • Discover the latest innovations in codes, metrics, and system types that influence sustainable design and operation.
