Join the Disaster Preparedness & Response Committee on a tour of King County Emergency Coordination Center. Space is limited - be sure to register!
King County’s Kent Pullen Regional Communications and Emergency Coordination Center is an essential facility designed to remain in operation during disaster recovery. It contains the King County Sheriff’s 911 Center and the County’s Office of Emergency Management, including the Emergency Operations Center. Completed in 2003, the center was designed by Hewitt Architects with Ross Drulis Cusenbery Architecture.
During the tour we will learn about its resilient design features and how it would be used in a disaster scenario. We will also have the opportunity to speak with Emergency Management staff about their volunteer programs.
Cost:
$5 for AIA and YAF members
$15 for non-members
Space is limited – Advance registration is required.
This building tour is organized by the AIA Seattle Disaster Preparedness and Response Committee. Please email the committee co-chairs or Missy Garvin for more information.
