YAF: Madison & Boylston Construction Tour
Join AIA Seattle’s Young Architects Forum for a construction tour of the first affordable highrise in Seattle in over 50 years.
The Madison/Boylston 17-story tower combines two distinct apartment complexes in one landmark building. On floors 2-5, Plymouth will offer 115 studios for seniors who have experienced chronic homelessness. On floors 6-17, “The Rise on Madison,” Bellwether Housing will offer 250 homes, ranging from studios to 3-bedrooms. Plymouth will own and operate the 4,100sf of retail on the ground floor. Together, they’ll form a vibrant, diverse community of families, seniors, and young adults set in the thriving First Hill neighborhood. And with its proximity to transit, jobs, healthcare, cultural opportunities, and much more, we couldn’t be more excited to see this building come to life.
Accessibility of the Space: No defined accessibility is planned but most areas of L2-L11 are accessible. There will be general construction taking place which could include uneven flooring surfaces pending final installation, temporary power cords in place for work activities, floor penetration coverings, etc. Vertical transportation is available via personnel lift to all levels but those above Level 11 will be limited.
Covid Safety: None required to access jobsite; please follow general guidelines for containing the spread (i.e. if you feel sick, stay home)
