Sam Miller FAIA
ExpandSam Miller is a Partner at LMN Architects where his work encompasses a diversity of civic, education and cultural projects. He has led many of the firm’s most prominent projects. In addition he is a key leader of LMN Tech Studio, which performs research and development of design technology, including simulation, parametric modeling, digital fabrication and human/computer interaction.
Why did you join AIA Seattle?
I joined AIA Seattle to be a part of the larger architectural community.
What is the value of AIA to you?
AIA is effectively working to enhance our profession and our community.
What relationships have you created?
Having joined the Board last year, I have met many terrific people. I am amazed at the highly skilled folks who commit their time and energy to AIA.
What project are you working on now?
One of the projects that I am working on is a new music school building at the University of Iowa. It’s an interesting program mix of performance and higher education.
How do you explain what you do for a living?
Architects make ideas real.
What inspired you today?
Looking out the window at our beautiful city.
