AHC Fall: Healthcare Design & Construction - Lessons Learned
The AIA Architecture for Health Committee Fall Event is a day of interdisciplinary presentations, design case studies, and discussions focused on “Lessons Learned” in healthcare design and construction. In our rapidly changing world of design, construction and operation, how are facility managers, architects, planners, engineers, contractors adapting to constantly evolving demands? What lessons from past projects and complex renovations can we share with our peers to make us all better at what we do? As our project delivery models shift how we learn from the experience of other to better serve our clients? On November 22nd we welcome you to join us in a dynamic program to discuss our successes and the challenges ahead.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Attendees will investigate creation of facilities that support better patient care delivery through siting, program relationships and facility design. Discussion of lessons learned during construction and operation of completed facilities.
- Program will promote positive patient outcomes through innovations in lighting, acoustical performance and new materials that protect staff and patients with clean, healthy environments.
- Attendees will review and discuss changes in State healthcare regulations crafted to support better patient care and safety of staff and patients.
- Attendees will understand the application of the issues discussed through an on site tour of a recently completed Kidney Center that employs the methods strategies discussed during earlier panel discussions and presentations.
