Digital Urbanism w/ UDF
We have an increasing cultural obsession with what the future holds. From environmental movements focused on mitigating climate change, to the lust for the next digital gadget that will revolutionize our everyday world, to the prevalence of dystopian-themes in the entertainment industry. In an increasingly urbanized world, we now live closer together than ever, yet over the past 75 years we have created urban infrastructure centered around the automobile that often disregards the societal boon of social connection.
Digital technology is becoming nimble urban infrastructure with the ability to better our social networks and enhance the way we interact with our world. What are the major shapers of our future? What role will augmented reality hold? How will big data and mobile technology influence how we experience and create our environment?
