ARE 5.0 Preparation Course – Structural, Part 2
The new ARE 5.0 examination has structural content in many of the divisions. This presentation will help prepare participants in understanding and applying these critical concepts. This information will be presented to benefit participants not only for taking the exam, but also in continuing their career.
This is the second part of a two part course – you must attend both sessions to receive credit for the course. Learn more about the first session here.
Learning Objectives
- Participants will use their acquired knowledge of loading and load path to determine demands on structural elements.
- Participants will formulate the capacities of several basic structural elements.
- Participants will apply engineering principles to multiple examples to better understand material properties and characteristics.
- Participants will recognize important aspects of the structural system which require additional consideration during construction.
