COHO: Tour of Plymouth Redmond PSH (Permanent Supportive Housing) Project (1 LU/HSW pending approval)
AIA Seattle’s Committee on Homelessness (COHO) is excited to offer a tour of a Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) Project. While similar in many aspects to many multifamily projects in our region, PSH projects have a unique role as they play an important part of transitioning people out of homelessness. This project tour will highlight key design elements that support individuals transitioning out of homelessness, with a focus on creating spaces that promote healing, inspire delight, and foster a sense of belonging.
Environmental Works partnered with Plymouth Housing to design this project introducing much needed Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) and case management services to the heart of Downtown Redmond. 100 new homes & on-site resident services will be introduced into the community, helping people to exit homelessness into a safe and welcoming environment. Apartment units and common areas are designed to allow in an abundance of natural light, and access to shared green space right on property. The six-story mixed-use design is informed by the team’s shared values to prioritize the well-being & dignity of all future residents and the conviction & commitment to be a good neighbor within a thriving Redmond community. Included in the design is approximately 1,970 sf of ground floor commercial space for future tenant improvement.

- Safety glasses. Prescription eyewear users must wear safety glasses over their prescription eyewear
Getting there: This project is located next to the Downtown Redmond Lightrail Station
Accessibility
Please note that this is not an accessible tour. It is an active job site, where much of the site is still irregular dirt and gravel, and some floor slabs are partial. Interior build out is underway in certain portions of each building, but getting to that point may require walking uneven paths, climbing stairs, and ducking under or around rope barriers. Attendees should be prepared to stand and wear required PPE.
