New Strategic Plan + New Home

Strategic Plan | In 2025, AIA Seattle + Seattle Design Festival welcomed a refreshed strategic plan, informing our annual plan work to deploy design to make a difference, prepare our communities to lead, and sustain healthy organizations.

Programs will continue to be informed by our Imperatives: Housing, Climate and Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion. The addition of new programs helps fulfill our vision of preparing our communities to lead, including the new “Timely Topics” series embracing innovation and emerging trends to position our community at the forefront of the industry, and the Business of Architecture Program, launched this year, seeking to deepen peer-to-peer learning networks and business leadership across career stages.

Our New Home | Our move to our new home at Smith Tower is nearly complete! As reported since 2023, the partner organizations at the Center for Architecture and Design made the difficult decision to not renew our lease at 1010 Western. We are incredibly appreciative of the two task forces, many members, and the board who have thoughtfully informed these decisions and guided the moving process. We can’t wait to welcome our community in 2026!
