CAP Collaboration Series: Geothermal Heat Exchange Systems: Case Studies & Lessons Learned with PAE
Join our Corporate Allied Partner PAE for their Continuing Education class on Mechanical System Selection.
Course Description
This presentation will discuss what geothermal actually is as well as the design, construction and codes and guidelines. Additionally, participants will learn the benefits of utilizing geothermal design in terms of efficiency and cost. Design case studies of a number of projects, including the Jordan Research Center at Fresno State and the Bullitt Center in Seattle, WA will also be featured.
Learning Objectives
- Clarify possible confusion between geothermal heat exchangers and geothermal energy.
- Describe how geothermal systems work and how the design team can approach the evaluation of this alternative energy conservation strategy.
- Provide a baseline understanding of the design issues and the challenges for geothermal systems.
- Reinforce the challenges of issues with geology and specific site conditions that influence geothermal system strategies.
Cost
