AIA Seattle brings together and advocates for a community of professionals across ten counties who are united not only in profession, but in purpose, through our vision for equitable, resilient, thriving communities. Now is a great time to focus on our local community in Washington – in opportunities such as these:
City of Seattle Comprehensive Plan – Public Engagement Period thru Dec. 20
The Comprehensive Plan will shape development for decades. AIA Seattle members are encouraged to provide input through this Friday, December 20, 2024 on drafts of rezoning maps and draft legislation for updated Neighborhood Residential zoning.
Advocate in Olympia – Capitol Connections 2025
Capitol Connections is AIAWA’s annual lobby day in Olympia, where architects discuss issues important to the profession directly with their legislators. AIAWA provides talking points and background materials and matches members to their representatives for conversations about furthering issues related to the built environment. Register today to join AIA WA Council on March 3rd in Olympia.
Architects Wanted – City of Seattle Neighborhood Design Review Boards:
Members of neighborhood-based Design Review Boards advise the City of Seattle about the design of proposed commercial and multifamily buildings at twice-monthly evening meetings. Learn more and apply by email by December 31, 2024.
