Construction Tour: Northlake Commons - YAF + Mass Timber Committees
Join YAF and the Mass Timber Committee for a tour of Northlake Commons, Seattle's largest mass timber lab-ready office building. The design team will guide a tour through the active construction site to discuss the design process, outcomes and highlight key considerations for building with mass timber.
Join Young Architects Forum and Mass Timber Committee for a construction tour of Northlake Commons. Currently under construction and scheduled to be complete in the fall, Northlake Commons will be one of the largest mass timber office buildings in the US and is designed to support a range of life science uses. Mass Timber Committee will lead the tour and will give a toures through the project for a behind the scenes look at how this project came to be and what it means for the future of sustainable workplace design.
Space is limited to 30 attendees.

Protective Gear Required: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required to be worn to access the site. A very limited quantity of PPE will be available to borrow onsite, so participants are strongly encouraged to bring their own: hard hat, safety glasses (safety over-glasses if wearing prescription lenses), high-vis vest, and sturdy work boots. All PPE is required to be worn whenever inside the project fence.
Site Visitor Waiver: A printed and completed Visitor Waiver is required upon arrival in order to be admitted onto the tour.
COVID/Masking: AIA Seattle recommends masking as a demonstration of community care. Please do not attend if you are feeling sick.
