Register Now for the 2026 Code Series | Code Matters

AIA Seattle’s Code Committee, featuring experts from both public and private sectors, has planned four engaging sessions covering vital building code topics for the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) professional community.
AIA Seattle’s 2026 Code Series: Code Matters, developed by the Code Committee, explores critical codes and standards that go beyond traditional zoning and building codes, addressing areas that profoundly influence design practice and public welfare.
Building codes are more than minimum requirements, they form the foundation of safe, inclusive, and resilient environments. This year’s sessions serve as a strategic prelude to the anticipated code adoptions in 2027, equipping design professionals and emerging practitioners to stay ahead of regulatory changes and prepare for the next code cycle. The program builds a strong foundation in code knowledge early to prepare participants for successful, impactful careers in the built environment.
