Code Reload | Code 101 & Workshop

This in-person seminar will focus on a broad overview of the 2021 IBC to present the basics of how the code is organized and used. The seminar will also include a hands-on workshop focusing on Chapter 5 Allowable Areas and Area Increases, as well as Chapter 10 Means of Egress.

This is the fourth and final session in the 2023 Code Reload Series presented in joint collaboration by AIA Seattle’s Code Committee and the Young Architects Forum (YAF).
Speakers
Ana has over a decade of experience as a licensed architect, contributing to the design and delivery of several nationally recognized sustainable multifamily buildings in Seattle. She has dual advanced degrees in architecture and construction management from the University of Washington.
Leonard has over 40 years of experience in the field of architecture, starting with many years as a retail specialist but eventually developing a practice area in designing mission critical technology facilities. Leonard worked with several Seattle area firms for many years before establishing his own firm in 2014 to focus on the design of data center and other types of technology related facilities.
