How can we better leverage the potential of these spaces to make our city more livable as it rapidly grows denser? As Runstad Fellows, a group of built environment thought leaders, faculty from the UW College of Built Environment and students pursuing Master of Science in Real Estate traveled to Auckland, New Zealand to study how they more fully utilize their rights-of-way and the design, policy and governance strategies they've employed to do so.
