Wattenbarger Architects is looking for a architectural staff with a minimum of 2 years experience. We have several exciting new mixed use / senior housing projects in the Puget Sound area and are looking to fill this position immediately. Founded in 1980, Wattenbarger Architects is located in Bellevue WA. Our office is conveniently located off of 520 and has free parking and easy access to transit. Our firms historic focus is on senior housing, including independent, assisted living, and memory care. More recently we have expanded or focus to include mixed use and multifamily residential design. Wattenbarger Architects has completed projects across the country and has active projects in Washington, Oregon, California, and Hawaii, and is actively licensed in 13 states. We are looking for a candidate with a professional degree in architecture. Licensure is not a requirement, however we are looking for a candidate practical experience who can quickly integrate with our team. Applicants should be proficient in Revit and experienced with AutoCAD, as well as MS Office. Experience with Sketchup, Photoshop, Powerpoint, and other graphics, rendering and presentation software is a +. Applicants should also have good verbal and written communications skills.
We are a small firm, with a current staff of 16. We take our work seriously, but have a relaxed atmosphere. We value our employees and work with them to support their career development goals by providing both in house and external continuing education sessions and AXP support.
General Responsibilities will depend upon the skills and experience of the candidate and may include the following.
• Develop architectural designs from conceptual ideas working with Principals and senior design staff.
• Provide construction document drafting, coordination, and support using Revit.
• Coordination with other design consultants and other stakeholders in the project.
• Provide assistance with code studies and analysis.
• Assistance in applying for required approvals by the AHJ. Experience with the Washington State Department of Health plan review process is a +.
• Product and design research in support of projects.
• Provide construction administration services in support of projects.
