Company Website SWL Architects
Starling Whitehead & Lux Architects seeks to add a new architectural staff member to join our Seattle-based team. We value self-directed individuals with excellent communication and technical skills who are looking to build their community as well as their knowledge and career.
SWL Architects is a small office in downtown Seattle, working in the public sector in Washington state. Our projects vary in size, type and style, and respond to the unique programs, site and community in which they are built. We support career growth and development, with the goal of developing licensed Architect Project Managers within our firm. We seek an individual to:
· have responsibility for managing small teams on projects of varying size and complexity;
· represent the design team – and support the owner – through all project phases from initial planning through project close-out;
· work independently to manage and produce drawings for smaller project deliverables
· play an active role in developing design concepts and their technical execution;
· participate in project meetings in all phases;
· develop and maintain project schedules;
· assure the efficient and effective execution of project tasks;
· coordinate cost estimates and alignment with available funding;
· serve as an owner and consultant team contact;
· author and assemble narrative reports during planning and at design milestones;
· support design intent and be sensitive to how project decisions impact design concepts; and
· mentor and lead less experienced project team members.
