Architect / Project Director
Studio Petretti Architecture seeks an architect with 10-15 years of experience to lead documentation and coordination on projects. Project Directors are expected to lead a collaborative process through all phases. This opportunity is for an experienced applicant who excels at documentation and technical detailing in service of the project design goals. The ideal candidate will be an agile professional with strong organizational skills. Process management will involve direct communication with clients as well as mentoring of junior staff in the creation of document sets.

This is a growth position with an emerging firm. We are looking for a team member who has direct experience nurturing a project from start to finish and has an interest in working in a highly collaborative atmosphere. The individual should expect to report directly to the firm principal, work in partnership with skilled peers, and be responsible for mentoring junior staff.

Qualified candidates will possess an Architectural license or be on the path to licensure. It is a requirement to have demonstrated experience documenting projects for public or non-profit sector clients using Revit as the main tool. Many of our projects are developed within negotiated construction environments, experience with CMGC / IPD / Design-Build or construction should be noted. Familiarity with permitting processes in the Pacific Northwest would be beneficial. We utilize industry standard systems and software; expert use is not required though applicants should note their familiarity with: Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, Smartsheet.

Studio Petretti was established in 2015 as a woman-owned emerging small business creatively inspired by our clients. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package. Our office is located in Southeast Portland, on a commercial street knitted into a residential neighborhood. Our team is currently working from home amidst the Coronavirus Pandemic. Applicants can expect to start employment working from home with resources supplied by the studio. While a firm timeline for in-office work has not been established, those applying from outside of Portland, Oregon must be willing to relocate to our City when in-office work or in-person client meetings resume.
