Architectural – Project Manager

Stemper Architecture Collaborative (Stemper AC) is a 10-person, West Seattle based architectural firm providing full architectural design services primarily to public agency clients.  Our practice includes educational (higher education and K-12), municipal, institutional, building envelope, vertical transportation, with some commercial and residential design.

Our ideal candidate has: 10 years professional experience; excellent management and production capabilities; exceptional communication and design skills; innovative problem solving skills; ability to work on, manage, and organize multiple projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Oversight and management of project team
  • Work on multiple projects concurrently
  • Manage production and coordination of project documents in all phases (SD through closeout)
  • Prepare reports and presentations for client meetings
  • Participate in speaking roles for job pitch interviews and presentations
  • Thorough understanding of code review/permitting for federal, state, and local compliance
  • Cost estimating
  • Construction administration and observation
  • Manage projects in all phases, including: project schedule, budget, and correspondence with client and vendors
  • Build and maintain client relations


  • Education:  BA in Architecture, BArch or MArch
  • 10+ years professional experience in all project phases
  • Strong communication skills, customer service-minded
  • High level competency with Revit/AutoCad, Adobe Suite, Sketchup, MS Project, MS Office Suite
  • Strong proficiency in writing: technical specifications, building surveys, assessments, reports, meeting minutes, and promotional
  • Building renovations experience
  • Strong building envelope experience
  • Space planning/interior design experience
  • Public sector project experience
  • Planning, master planning experience a plus
  • Thorough understanding/experience of construction for producing construction doc packages from SD through CD phases
  • Experience with cost estimating
  • Field experience in construction
  • Must have strong time management and people management skills, as well as have the ability to handle tight deadlines
  • Additional skills in software such as:  BlueBeam, Canva, Miro, Lumion a plus
