We are seeking a BIM Manager/Design Technology Specialist to join our Team. This position will be based in either our Portland or Seattle studio. The BIM Manager/Design Technology Specialist is a firm-wide resource for all project team members.

The Opportunity

  • Cultivate and contribute to a firm culture of learning and making
  • Coordinate and lead all BIM/digital design workflows and logistics on projects and pursuits firmwide
  • Lead design teams in implementation and daily maintenance of Revit models
  • Create and maintain quality Revit families, libraries, keynotes, schedules, and templates
  • Support and contribute to active project teams’ 3D modelling and documentation efforts (Revit, Sketchup, and Rhino primarily)
  • Manage, maintain, and standardize firmwide digital assets
  • Support project kick-offs and creation of BIM project workflow with project teams, consultants, and clients
  • Evaluate SRG’s modelling practices, procedures, and tools to explore and implement improvements
  • Participate in the AEC Design Technology community through conferences, lectures, and meetings to gain insights into new technologies, software, and trends
  • Champion an office Design Technology BIM Guide
  • Maintain and manage model making materials, 3D printer, and laser cutter
  • Mentor, teach, and advance BIM and technology competencies throughout the firm

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceThree or more years’ experience in AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) Industry required, BIM management responsibilities preferred
  • Expert knowledge of Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD (and related BIM software), Navisworks Sketchup, Rhino, Bluebeam, Miro, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Microsoft Office
  • Proven experience managing teams working in BIM and on BIM360
  • Experience in Grasshopper, Dynamo desired; C#, Python or other scripting and programming languages a plus
  • Knowledge of rendering and animation software (Enscape, Lumion, Premiere Pro and After Effects)
  • Experience managing model shops, creating models, and mentoring Team Members to use tools and build models efficiently
  • Interest in data representation and technical infrastructure a plus
  • Must be comfortable presenting and leading meetings with consultants, team members, and clients
  • Excellent problem analysis and resolution skills

Base Salary Ranges: $65,000 – $100,000
