Role Introduction
Key fundamentals of the Recruiter role include developing the trust and confidence necessary to help our managers navigate hiring decisions effectively while collaboratively harnessing HR resources to manage profiles and postings, and leading the process through full-cycle recruiting. This position requires creativity in its approach to attracting top talent and engaging prospective candidates. You’ll be key, and the lead in helping MG2 reach their hiring and staffing goals equipped with a supportive team to achieve these results.
What your day will look like:
· Review current process flow and suggest improvements through standardization and design.
· Relay set process and provide clear guidance for exceptions and out of process situations.
· Collaborate regularly with hiring teams and managers across multiple markets and project types to understand profiles and skillsets that align with business objectives to successfully recruit for open positions.
· Take initiative and think proactively to source candidates; connect with passive candidates through various online channels, including LinkedIn.
· Prompt actions as necessary to keep timely turnarounds, reduce delays in decision making, and improve candidate experience. Improve speed to hire.
· Facilitate recruitment and selection strategies to ensure the talent pool and hiring decisions achieve the company’s needs.
· Evaluate candidates and make recommendations to hiring managers. Develop skill reviewing resumes for the most highly desired skillsets and provides ranking guidance during resume review meetings.
· Post openings on job boards/social networks, coordinate and interview candidates during various hiring stages.
· Represent the company with professionalism, pride, and enthusiasm. Maintain engagement and energy with candidates throughout the hiring process.
· Manage a high volume of resumes through the ATS and online job boards.
· Align annual campus recruitment programs (student programs, scholarship, endowment, fellowship, and internship programs) with EDI efforts to build pipeline and prioritize these recruits as interns and college grads. Collaborates with universities and organizations to increase our brand presence and enrich opportunities for early career individuals.
· Key resource for referrals and referral program incentive strategy.
· Collaborate creativity with Marketing and Creative Services (Brand Strategy) to provide content for our online presence, including career sites and social media accounts.
· Develop and maintain a pool of pre-qualified candidates for future company needs.
· Gather and prepare data to assess effectiveness of sourcing strategy. Maintain analytic dash, makes continuous improvements. Provide success metrics, report out to leadership, hiring managers and HR on the status of open positions and success of recruiting strategies.
· May oversee, assist, and collaborate with external recruiters for strategic hires, as needed.
· Oversee offer letters are accurately prepared, decline emails, and support managers in the negotiation process.
· May supervise or guide the work of others.
· Other duties and special projects as assigned.
What your day will look like: Hybrid working opportunity in alignment with team and manager’s expectations, currently 2-3 days per week in office. In-office schedule available M-F, as optional.
Your day-to-day routine will change often as hiring priorities shift, but there is a basic set of activities you can expect to run with daily and weekly, including, but not limited to:
· Meet with market groups to discuss headcount, new requisitions, hiring strategy, and/or interview feedback – you truly act as a partner to your clients and not merely as an order taker.
· Screen candidates who apply.
· Source candidates – often the best candidates are the ones not actively looking!
· Discuss candidates you have screened with your market groups and recommend top candidates for interviews.
· Arrange and provide tours and share tidbits to interested candidates –showcase all the exciting things going on at MG2!
· May attend interviews alongside market groups to act as another set of eyes and ears in evaluating candidates.
· Once candidates are approved for hire, initiate the HR onboarding process to include overseeing offer packages and negotiations including extending offer letters, and queuing new hire paperwork – you’ll have plenty of support from the HR team and from payroll and benefits departments to make this process supported and as seamless as possible.
Some days you will have multiple candidates scheduled for interviews virtually and or in-person and you will ensure things run smoothly and support a positive candidate experience. Other days, you will need to fill your candidate pipeline and will spend the majority of the day networking, cold calling, passive and active screening/sourcing candidates, following up with hiring teams and managers for next steps, and overseeing offers and negotiations are timely and efficient. Some days will be working with universities, improving our internship opportunities and process, and aligning our program to best capture quality candidates. No day is the same here and the pace moves fast, but ultimately your job is to effectively attract, organize, and manage the flow hire of the most talented individuals fostering growth to further our firm goals!
Requirements
We’re looking for someone who:
Any suitable combination of education and experience is acceptable.
· 4+ years’ experience recruiting to include sourcing, screening, and building/maintaining candidate pipeline required.
· A/E/C industry recruiting experience highly preferred.
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration/Management, Communication, or similar field preferred.
· Experience overseeing, implementing, and executing recruiting systems and processes within a highly matrixed organization.
· Experience working within a team of customer-service centered Human Resources Department, collaborative in nature, yet position requires high level of initiative, responsibility, and autonomy.
Highly desired abilities and attributes:
· Solid understanding of full-cycle recruiting, employment law & HR regulatory compliance, employment authorization, comp and benchmarking, and experience structuring/negotiating employment offers.
· Familiarity with MS Office Suite, various Applicant Tracking Systems, manual tracking systems and resume databases.
· Passion for customer service and high expectations for results.
· Inquisitive with the ability to focus on understanding each individual role of the organization and how they function.
· Embodies a high level of business literacy regarding performance, vision, goals, culture and leadership.
· Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to interact with a variety of personality types.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
