We have a new opportunity for an experienced architect to join our award-winning healthcare team. We are looking for someone who wants to bring their design and technical experience in healthcare to a fun, enthusiastic team.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to understand needs and issues of the project
  • Efficiently explore a multitude of design options that address a project’s goals and requirements in addition to advancing environmental and social justice needs of the greater community
  • Design architectural plans and solutions
  • Prepare drawings, documentation, and specifications
  • Research materials, consult manufacturers and evaluate selected materials
  • Actively mentor, guide, and coach team member

Requirements

  • An experienced architect with eight or more years of professional experience
  • Licensed, preferably in Oregon or Washington
  • Demonstrated experience in developing solutions for healthcare markets
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of and experience with FGI guidelines
  • Experienced with building successful client and contractor relationships
  • Experienced with medical planning and community health preferred
  • Experience communicating with State and Local Authorities Having Jurisdiction
  • Skilled in Revit, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Abode CS, Microsoft Office
  • Ability to sketch and draw freehand to communicate ideas

Starting annual salary ranges are targeted at DS IV ($80,000 – $113,000) or DS V ($85,000 – $125,000) dependent on hiring location. Please note that with pay equity analysis, starting salary is based on the experience stated on your resume/application. Mahlum employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonus compensation in addition to salary.
