The person holding this position fulfills the important role of being a public representative for Johnson Braund.
The Office Manager is held accountable for the efficient functioning of Johnson Braund including assisting with bookkeeping and accounting functions, general performance of staff, and is responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism within the office as well as excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
The candidate must have strong organizational and administrative skills; maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism; and possess a strong work ethic. The candidate should be detail-oriented, able to work productively as part of a team as well as independently and require minimal direction in their work. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. They should also be confident when juggling multiple deadlines and priorities. It is important that the candidate be skilled with Microsoft Office products and QuickBooks.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
o Oversight and management of all daily business and administrative functions.
o Monthly invoicing utilizing QuickBooks, SpringAhead, and Excel.
o Assistance with client bookkeeping (small business, architectural).
o Provide support to tax and audit teams, including preparation of quarterly tax forms, and providing information for audits and processing tax returns.
o Processing of expense reports
o Manage facilities and equipment maintenance, ordering of supplies
o Mail handling and distribution.
o Bank deposits
o Maintain company files including confidential and Human Resources files.
o Small event planning including business meetings, office functions and company events.
o Serve as a resource to co-workers regarding company policies, procedures and general office/company information.
o Social media interaction to provide support to marketing efforts and firm development.
o Minimum 3 years of experience in an office management or similar role
o AA degree in business management, accounting or related field. BA degree preferred.
o Skilled in Microsoft Office products with an emphasis on Excel, Word, Outlook.
o Must be proficient in QuickBooks. QuickBooks certification preferred.
o Self-motivated individual with ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team. Should be both proactive and resourceful in order to prioritize and meet deadlines.
o Must be able to adapt to fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining focus and composure.
o Strong organization, detail, prioritization, time management and communication skills.
