Studio Meng Strazzara

Beyond the “intern”, what does your next step look like? We don’t get too hung up on titles around here: Intern Architect, Job Captain, Architect-In-Training… it’s that space between a new graduate and a licensed architect.

With a few years under your belt, you are ready for the next challenge: a bigger project, construction observation, consultant coordination, or learning to be a project manager. You have spent some time cranking out drawings and are yearning for more responsibility, a chance to show what you have to offer, and to take your career up a notch.

As a mid-sized, local firm we can open doors to your potential, put you in front of clients, and let you take the wheel. Revit is a fact of architecture life around here, but we can offer so much more. Our size lets us be versatile, nimble, and able to move people to new projects quickly. With a high percentage of licensed architects on staff, you can learn from their experience and be sure they know what it takes.

Our core project types evolve around K-12 and higher education, multi-family and mixed used, and transit. Weaving through those are theatres, sports facilities, and urban development, with the occasional retail, civic, and office thrown in for good measure. You can see examples of these on our website.

What we need is a solid performer, someone who is confident and skilled in Revit, who wants to grow their career in a supportive environment, and who wants to make a difference in the community.

This is an immediate, full-time position in our office located in downtown Seattle. Our comprehensive benefits package goes beyond the base salary with full medical/dental/vision/long-term disability insurance, 401k with company match at 1 year, paid time off, eight paid holidays, continuing education allowance, professional membership dues support, and ARE / LEED exam time.

We believe in balance, so we offer plentiful opportunities to socialize with the team, and as the pandemic begins to fade we are looking forward to resuming some of our company’s traditional events such as a holiday party, volunteer time at the Pike Place Market, licensure celebrations, and project tours.

If this sounds like a good fit, send a cover letter and resume, along with project examples or a link to an online portfolio, to the email listed below. The position is on-site, but we are conducting most interviews remotely to allow mask-free participants.

All offers of employment by Studio Meng Strazzara are contingent on the provision of satisfactory proof of your identity and legal authority to work in the United States.
